Awarded the Medal of Honor for action on 6/30/1862 at Charles City Cross Roads where he captured the flag of GA regiment.
Charles is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Washington, DC
Catherine is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Washington, DC
